Henry and Tristan came home today all excited because they’d learned about Space today at daycare. Henry was telling me all about how the rockets shoot the spaceship into the sky and out to the moon, and demonstrating exactly how the astronauts sit in the space capsule.

10 minutes after they got home, I had them both watching the footage of the Moon landing on Youtube, and then watching a live stream interview of 2 astronauts on the ISS on NASA tv.

Sometimes the technology we have today is frikkin awesome.

New destination this roster, we start flying to Talin...I should look up which country that's in ;)

March was a good roster, April seems to be switching back to early starts, but only half of the days I'm flying, so I guess I can't complain about that.

messed up my knee...again

OUCH!!!

I stupidly managed to aggravate my knee AGAIN. So no more squats for me for a while.

This time round I've decided to be a bit more proactive and not take my usual course of "I just won't use that knee for a while and then it'll all be fine."

There's this guy on the Interwebs named Anthony Mychal. He's a fitness guru / trainer / Captain America look-a-like and also an author.

He has a book out called An Athlete's Guide to Chronic Knee Pain. Well, I'm no athlete, but the second half of that title definitely applies to me.

I have been diligently following Anthony's rehab training plan for the past week now, and it's an 8 week plan, so 7 weeks to go. Basically what I found after reading his book first is that I have 2 main problems:
  1. I have what's called an Anterior Pelvic Tilt
  2. I have very weak glute muscles - so all those women who told me I had no ass for years, you were right.
The book's training plan is a way to fix both of these problems. So far so good, it's only been a week, but my knee is starting to feel better already.

If you have knee pain I highly recommend you at least check out this book. I am in no way affiliated, I just think it's really good.
