It's been a while. I've been a bit busy. Who knew, having 3 kids can eat up a LOT of you free time! :P
Things are going well with the new addition. Freddy is NOT the best sleeper of the bunch, and the first month he was a pretty cantankerous little git, but he's starting to smile now and DAMN he is cute!!
I recently read a couple of books I want to share.
The first is called Discipline Equals Freedom: Field Manual by Jocko Willink. The first half is his thoughts on, well, just about everything. The second is how he actually puts his ideas and philosophies into practice. I REALLY enjoyed this book and finished it in 2 days, highly recommended.
The second book is called Fat Loss happens on Monday by Josh Hillis and Dan Brown. It is about diet and exercise, 2 areas where I think I know a lot, but in recent times have found that no, I know jack shit! I found the diet stuff extremely interesting and informative and really made me think differently about how I approach my health in general. The workout section is very different from most other books like this as the authors don't advocate the sort of extreme, do-it-till-you-puke style workouts that are so popular these days. Its all very simple, basic stuff that I can do at home with a Kettlebell and a Pull Up bar, and won't end up with me hurting myself AGAIN! I'm starting on monday, and will track my progress on this site, in a new page I think. Again, highly recommended.
Anyhoo, I'm on a day off in Visby today and I need some exercise, time to go get lost in the old town again.
